Quitline
Throughout the process of quitting, it’s important you get as much help as you need. That’s why there is a special telephone-based service available to Queenslanders who smoke to give them support along their quit journey.
Quitline (13 7848) is a service available between 7 am and 10 pm, 7 days a week. Outside of these hours, a customer service assistant will record your details and arrange for a counsellor to call you back during service hours.
What to expect:
- Expert advice and assistance from genuine people
- Tailored support to suit your specific needs
- Encouragement and resources to help you quit
Quitline creates a confidential record, so that each time you make contact, the counsellors can pick up where you left off.
There is also a dedicated team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff that are available most days and sometimes after hours. Let Quitline staff know if you would prefer to speak to one of these team members.
You may be eligible to receive intensive quit support (combines multiple support calls with free nicotine replacement products).
