- The Annual Leaderboard is available on both the website and mobile app.
- Participation is free and you can join or opt-out of appearing on the Annual Leaderboard at any time.
- You can directly enter steps and activity minutes, or use tracker syncing to log your steps over the year in your Step Log.
Some things to note:
The Annual Leaderboard is are not the same as a Tournament Leaderboard or Health Challenge Leaderboard. If your workplace is running a Tournament, joining the Annual Leaderboard will not link you to your Tournament. Reach out to the Coordinator at your organisation to register your Tournament Team.
If your organisation is participating in a Health, State, or Local Challenge, you might be able to log your steps and appear on the Annual Leaderboard as a participation option. Check out Health, State, and Local Challenges for more information.

Annual Leaderboard for Small Organisations
The Annual Leaderboard is designed for ease of participation, with a focus on long-term step tracking and activity logging with the 10,000 Steps community.
Small organisations, community groups, or friend groups might benefit from joining the Annual Leaderboard as a simple and structured long-term step challenge option that allows you to join a larger community of steppers.
Annual Leaderboard for Mid-Large Organisations
The Annual Leaderboard is designed to be used long-term by individual members interested in joining the 10,000 Steps community. Small Organisations might find these helpful to connect and join a larger community of steppers, but other types of 10,000 Steps Challenges may be better suited to the goals of most Organisations.
It’s helpful to be aware of these features, as participants in other types of Challenges might join or use these features by mistake when they intend to join a Challenge being run by your Organisation.
Some things to note:
Coordinators can only see Annual Leaderboard rankings for members who have opted into the Annual Leaderboard. The Annual Leaderboard is also visible to other logged-in 10,000 Steps members. The Annual Leaderboard is linked to Groups or Tournaments, and do not replace the need to organise registration of Teams or the creation of your Group if used alongside other types of Challenges.
